Demar Derozan Contract

DeMar DeRozan Signs 3-Year, $85 Million Contract with Chicago Bulls

Long-Term Deal Includes Guaranteed $81.9 Million and Average Annual Salary of $28.3 Million

Bulls Acquire DeRozan in Sign-and-Trade with San Antonio Spurs

The Chicago Bulls have agreed to a three-year, $85 million contract with All-Star guard DeMar DeRozan, as part of a sign-and-trade deal with the San Antonio Spurs, according to a person familiar with the situation. The contract includes $81.9 million guaranteed and an average annual salary of $28.3 million. DeRozan's agent, Aaron Goodwin of Goodwin Management Group, confirmed the deal.

The Bulls acquired DeRozan in exchange for Thaddeus Young, Al-Farouq Aminu, and a protected 2025 first-round pick. DeRozan, a four-time All-Star, averaged 21.6 points, 6.9 rebounds, and 4.2 assists per game for the Spurs last season. He is expected to play a key role for the Bulls alongside Zach LaVine and Nikola Vucevic.

The move comes after Paul George, who recently turned 34, signed a four-year, $212 million contract with the Philadelphia 76ers. The Bulls are hoping that DeRozan, who is three years younger than George and has a more consistent injury history, can be a more reliable option for them.
